We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to develop specialised and production casting components for clients. This is a hands-on role in a growing team where you’ll work across design, production, quality, maintenance and manufacturing, turning engineering concepts into practical solutions.

Role responsibilities

• Work closely with Sales team to provide accurate specifications and quotes for clients
• Design and develop castings for customers by producing detailed CAD drawings and 3D models
• Modify, rebuild and improve existing tooling as required
• Liaise with machining and fabrication subcontractors and support maintenance activities
• Work directly with production teams to prove processes and resolve manufacturing issues
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and technical support on the factory floor
• Support QA with inspection, problem identification and resolution
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve tooling performance, quality, efficiency and cost.
• Maintain extremely high standards of quality & safety in all work performed

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a practical, technically minded Mechanical Engineer who enjoys working collaboratively and solving problems from concept through to production with:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 4+ years' relevant Mechanical Engineering/tooling experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong CAD design and drafting skills
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, machining and fabrication processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• The ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints and schematics
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Experience in Mechatronics, CNC Machining, Composite Tooling is highly desirable
