Job Description
Our client provides outstanding electrical, plumbing, drainage, and roofing services to a wide range of customers throughout the Wellington and Auckland regions. They are currently looking for an experienced Plumbing Estimator to lead the pricing/quoting of a variety of projects across the residential, commercial, health, educational, and industrial sectors.
About the role
- Review construction drawings, schematics and architectural plans to accurately scope plumbing requirements and prepare detailed client quotations, including materials, labour hours and project-specific requirements.
- Develop accurate project pricing by assessing material costs, labour rates, equipment, overheads and required profit margins.
- Prepare and submit professional tenders, quotations and proposal documentation to clients and main contractors, supporting the business to secure commercially viable projects.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, NZ regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct on and off-site inspections, troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement solutions efficiently.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, documentation and reports.
Key experience & Skills
- Certifying Plumber or Drainlayer
- 5+ years of experience in pricing/quoting residential/commercial installations and servicing
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written), organisation, problem solving and time management skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Valid driver’s license
